Contract Case Worker

Region EMPOWERMENT Plus are now recruiting for contract case workers in Bray, Dun Laoghaire and the East Wicklow area. Successful candidates will be placed on a panel and considered for contracts to work with young people and families depending on their specific needs and their geographical area.
Job Description Empowerment Plus is a community based service committed to supporting young people and families that are at risk. Our work involves support on an individual basis with vulnerable young people and their families within their communities. We endeavour to build support through helping to empower families to live a more fulfilled and to develop each individual’s capacity for change and growth.
As an Empowerment Plus caseworker, you will be required to work with young people and families who are at risk within the community. A genuine interest in a rights based approach and previous experience of working with young people and families at risk is required.
Essential Requirements • Degree in Social Care or equivalent
• Minimum Experience: 1 Year
• Own Transport and full clean driving licence required
• Flexibility with regards to working hours
• Knowledge of child protection issues
• Understanding of complex needs of families at risk
• Experience of dealing with challenging behaviours
Salary€15.00ph

Marketing & Fundraising Co-Ordinator

Job DescriptionThe intern will gain practical experience in working within the Charity sector, in helping with the promotion and fundraising area of the organisation. The intern will assist in the following areas: the development of fundraising campaigns, co-ordinate campaigns, events and launches, identify new fundraising opportunities. Recruitment of fundraising volunteers and supporters. Update and monitor our website and social media sites. The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following: writing content for website and social media pages such as Facebook and Twitter, administrative support. On completion the intern will have attained skills in fundraising and marketing, social media, administration, and coordination fundraising events, IT skills.
Skill RequirementsThe candidate who will most benefit from this internship should have a genuine interest in Marketing and Fundraising. The Candidate should have strong communications skills both written and verbal, with an outgoing, self-motivated approach. Also interested in working within the charity sector.
MentorWe will assign a mentor to support you during the Internship.
